Variegation is a mutation. It can't be planned, only grown out. Use this to grow a leaf of your own. It's generated from a random seed, so no one else will see the same pattern.
Variegation comes from cells that make little or no chlorophyll. What colour shows up depends on what's left behind.
Cells with no chlorophyll at all show as cream and white. Albo plants are striking and slow-growing, and they need steady, bright light.
Partial chlorophyll loss leaves yellow carotenoids showing. The result is gold-washed leaves that look like late-afternoon light.
Anthocyanin pigments come through where green steps aside, painting sectors in rose and blush. It's the rarest look of the three.

Every plant is sold through our Etsy shop, with Etsy's checkout and buyer protection.
